The Transformers

The Transformers

4 million years ago, on a faraway planet called Cybertron, life existed in the form of sentient robots which could think and feel, called Transformers. The race of Transformers was divided into 2 main clans. Autobots, led by Optimus Prime, wished for peaceful co-existence. Decepticons , under the command of Megatron, sought conflict and universal conquest. Both sides were embroiled in an ages old war for Domination.

With both sides running low on energy, the Autobots, aboard the Ark, sought out a new source, but the Decepticons, aboard their space-cruiser, ambushed them in hopes of gaining a decisive advantage. The Decepticons boarded the Ark and the ensuing space battle resulted in both the ships crash landing on a pre-historic Earth, the Ark crashing into the side of a dormant volcano.

Four million years passed while the Autobots and Decepticons lay dormant aboard the Ark. In the Earth year 1984, the volcano housing the Ark erupted, reawakening the ship's computer, Teletraan I, which then modified the Transformers so as to give them alternate modes that could blend in on Earth like a truck for Prime and F-15 Eagles for 3 Decepticons.

The Autobots and Decepticons, now stuck on Earth, continued their war more ferociously than ever. The Decepticons wished to drain Earth of all its resources, converting it into energon for their use, while the Autobots were committed to stopping them, and to protecting the human race. This era would later be referred to by Transformers as the "Great War." The war was almost ended as soon as it began, as the Decepticons gained an early lead, and were even able to build a space cruiser to leave Earth, however Autobot intervention prevented them from escaping orbit.SOURCE

Batman Beyond

Batman BeyondThe story then fast-forwards another 20 years. Gotham City is now a futuristic megalopolis equipped with staggering high rises and hovering/flying vehicles. Bruce Wayne is now a virtual recluse, spending his latter years living in bitter isolation with no companion but his guard dog, Ace. It is implied by virtue of his continuing to fight crime long after he should have, and his retaining of the costumes worn by Robin, Nightwing, and Batgirl, that even before he had a heart attack, something horrible transpired that caused Bruce to sever his ties with the Justice League and forbid his disciples from ever again assuming their alter-egos. The events which caused all of this was finally revealed in Batman Beyond: Return of the Joker.

Opening Trailer:

In 2040, Terry McGinnis (born on June 27, 2023) is an athletic 17-year-old high school student and reformed troublemaker with a deeply ingrained sense of personal justice. During the pilot episode, he saves a fellow passenger on a commuter rail from being hassled by one of the Jokerz, and later single-handedly takes on an entire gang of them to defend his girlfriend, ultimately resulting in a harrowing high-speed motorcycle chase through Neo-Gotham's expressways. The chase ultimately ends at the doorstep of Wayne Manor, where a fleeing Terry runs into the elderly Bruce Wayne. Bruce and Terry fend off the Jokerz side-by-side, but the exertion aggravates his heart condition. Terry helps Bruce back to the manor, and while staying there, he discovers the entrance to the Batcave, and later returns to "borrow" the Batsuit to avenge the death of his father. As crime and corruption are beginning once again to rear their ugly heads in Gotham, Bruce ultimately allows Terry to assume the mantle of Batman...More

Ben 10

Ben 10

Ben Tennyson is a relatable 10-year-old. He gets frustrated with his family, has challenges with peers, and gets himself caught up in problems that he cannot solve alone. The difference is that his solution to solving problems starts with the discovery of a mysterious device called Omnitrix, a watch-like device that he found and wears. He gains the power to change/choose which one of ten different aliens heroes he wants to become (each with uniquely awesome powers). But he's still Ben, just transformed into an alien form with superhero powers and it doesn't mean he's above a little superpowered mischief now and then.

Ben travels over a summer with his Grandpa Max, kind and empathetic and always ready to battle aliens; and his cousin Gwen, a sassy girl who plays a key role in getting him out of tangles. Max and Gwen know about Ben's powers yet don't place him on a pedestal as they're well aware he needs their help when fighting off bad guys.

The villains themselves take as wonderfully creative forms as Ben. They will attack, punch, throw, shoot, and do whatever it takes to stop Ben. This is no doubt great fun to watch for many kids but may be scary for kids younger than 7. If parents have strong feelings about not letting their kids watch violent cartoons, this one isn't for them.

The animation is rich and colorful, inspired by the Japanese anime that's so popular today. Dialogue between Max, Gwen, and Ben is not up-to-par with the visuals, though, and needs to be updated to reflect how kids really speak to each other. Still, overlooking the violence, BEN 10 gives kids a peek into the world of science fiction along with exciting action and creative animation.

Lois and Clark: The Adventures of Superman

Lois and Clark: The Adventures of Superman

In 1966, Jonathan and Martha Kent saw the crash-landing of a small spaceship in Shuster's Field outside of Smallville, Kansas. When they look into the craft, they found a baby Kal-El. The Kents decide to raise him as their own, naming him "Clark Jerome Kent". Unlike the silver age comic continuity in the comics, in which they are deceased, Jonathan and Martha are very much alive in the TV show, and frequently visit Metropolis.

Twenty-seven years later, Clark moves to Metropolis and gets a job at the Daily Planet under the gruff editor Perry White. There, he is partnered with star reporter Lois Lane. Although Clark falls for Lois at first sight, she considers him little more than a pest. When Superman saves her however, Lois instantly becomes infatuated with Clark's alter-ego.

Superman's first mission interferes with the illegal dealings of Lex Luthor, a benefactor to Metropolis who is secretly evil. Luthor develops an interest in Lois Lane tries to woo her for the majority of Season One; Although Lois is receptive to his romantic advances, she remains infatuated with the Man of Steel. Luthor eventually proposes marriage, and Lois accepts. Luthor decides to coincide his nuptials with the death of Superman, trapping the hero within a kryptonite cage directly beneath the chapel where the wedding is about to take place. When Superman gets free and Luthor is exposed, the villain takes his own life rather than be arrested. Because his powers have been sapped by Luthor's kryptonite, Clark is unable to stop the villain from killing himself.

Lois & Clark: The New Adventure of Superman had a success from the day it shown in American television on September 12, 1993 until June 14, 1997 by ABC Network. It was based on Superman comic books that transform into much more lavish of version than forty years ago when it had first aired. The featured casts are Dean Cain as Superman/Clark Kent, Teri Hatcher as Lois Lane and John Shea as Lex Luthor.

Cincinnati, WKRP.

Got kind of tired packing and unpacking,
Town to town, up and down the dial.
Maybe you and me were never meant to be,
But baby think of me once in awhile.
