Created and entirely written by British screenwriter Michael Hirst, The Tudors is a historical fiction television series loosely based upon the early reign of English monarch Henry VIII and it focuses on his life and romances .
The first season takes a look at the often overlooked, early political relationships as well as Henry's trysts with such notable women as Katherine of Aragon and Anne Boleyn.
The second season looks at King Henry's struggle with the Pope over his divorce, and his marriage to Anne Boleyn as well as the creation of the Church of England. With the second season premiere of the ultra-steamy show"The Tudors" have been discussed to be the TV's Sexiest Series.
